Danforth Drive is the main thoroughfare within Nestle Purina’s St. Louis campus, a secured, high-traffic site that supports a bustling corporate environment. In the summer of 2024, E. Meier was proud to complete a comprehensive asphalt mill and overlay project to renew this critical roadway, ensuring it remained functional and safe for employees and visitors.
The project presented a unique set of logistical challenges. Nestle Purina needed continuous access to parking lots and office facilities throughout the process, and an ongoing lobby remodeling project added further complexity. With meticulous planning and close collaboration between E. Meier and Nestle Purina’s facilities team, led by Scott Leveling, a seamless traffic control plan was developed to maintain efficient campus operations during construction.
After our partners at GS Milling removed the worn asphalt from the road surface, our team got to work installing the fresh asphalt overlay. The result: a safe, smooth, and durable surface that will support campus traffic for another 15 years, showcasing E. Meier’s commitment to long-lasting quality. Throughout the project, our team maintained the accessibility features of the roadway’s adjacent sidewalks and entrances.
Thanks to a well-coordinated effort, the project was completed on schedule, minimizing disruptions for campus users. Nestle Purina’s meticulous property maintenance standards align closely with E. Meier’s dedication to delivering durable, top-tier paving solutions.
