Purina Farms Parking Lot Milling, Paving & Striping

Our team completed a full-property asphalt milling and paving project at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, Missouri. E. Meier and Nestlé Purina have been partners for nearly two decades, and the Farms is one of the premier venues for animal programs and showings in the Midwest, which made this one of the more coordination-heavy commercial parking lot projects on our schedule.
We milled, prepped, and installed over 3,000 tons of asphalt across the property, repaired failed areas throughout the site, and striped the entire property upon completion. The work landed in late fall, when temperatures become a real variable in asphalt placement. Our supply partners were instrumental here, holding delivery timing and mix temperatures consistent throughout the project so the material went down right.
Purina Farms rarely has a quiet week, so the schedule was built around the events happening on site. Jim Smith and his team at the Farms coordinated with us closely, and traffic control stayed a priority given the pedestrian and animal volume moving across the property. Our crews worked in standard PPE with cold weather gear added for the conditions. The project finished on time and on budget, and the results exceeded what the Farms staff expected.
