St. Charles Family Arena
Project Client: St. Charles County
Our team partnered with St. Charles County to complete major improvements to the parking lot and entrance areas at the St. Charles Family Arena. The arena hosts major events, and its expansive parking lot also serves as a training and practice space for local organizations, including the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department and amateur racing groups. With so much daily and event traffic, the pavement had begun to show significant wear.
The project began with resurfacing approximately 30 percent of the most heavily used sections of the parking lot. Deteriorated areas were milled and overlaid with new asphalt to create a smooth, durable surface designed to withstand years of frequent use. In the remaining areas, we applied a sealcoat to protect the pavement and extend its service life.
A critical part of the work also involved replacing the primary concrete entrance at the arena’s main stoplight. This section, which includes all five inbound and outbound lanes, had deteriorated over time and needed full reconstruction. The completed entrance now offers reliable, safe access for the steady flow of vehicles during high-capacity events.
Because of the arena’s busy event schedule, construction was carefully timed between events to minimize disruption. The finished work provides safer, long-lasting surfaces that will serve visitors and the community for years to come.
