Weil Street Milling and Paving (Shrewsbury, MO)

Project Client: City of Shrewsbury

Project Partner: GS Grinding Services

The City of Shrewsbury enlisted E. Meier Contracting to address the deteriorating condition of Weil Street, a key thoroughfare in a mixed residential and commercial area. The existing asphalt surface had become rough and uneven, likely causing an uncomfortable and potentially hazardous experience for motorists. The city, recognizing the need for a smoother, safer roadway, contracted with E. Meier to provide a comprehensive milling and paving solution. This project was part of the city’s broader initiative to maintain and improve its infrastructure to better serve its residents and businesses.

Our partners at GS Grinding Services completed the first phase of the project, milling the existing, worn-out asphalt surface. Our team efficiently executed the paving process, laying down a fresh, even layer of asphalt. Safety was a top priority throughout the project, with both of our teams deploying road signage to alert motorists and ensure the safety of both the workers and the public.

The project was completed in May 2024, finishing on time and within budget. The successful completion of the project left the city satisfied with the work done. The new pavement significantly improved the road’s surface, providing a smoother and safer experience for all who travel on Weil Street.
